Rabbit Ridge
A gathering place for learning, growing, and connecting more deeply with one another and the natural world
About Us:
Our family has been blessed with the opportunity and adventure of living on a piece of property with plenty of wild space to share. It is our goal to steward the land well, and to share it with others as much as possible.
Hosting kids' outdoor day camps, weekly disc practice, and seasonal fireside circles are a few of the ways we would like to explore community building here while allowing others to form relationships with one another and the land.
Jesse is a public school teacher (MS/HS Science) with a wide range of interests. His top two passions are playing disc (Ultimate frisbee) and “rewilding” i.e. finding our place in the natural world again.
Alexis is a homeschooler, and she has found that learning so many new things is one of the best perks of this lifestyle. Most recently, she has spent time enrolled in a classical painting atelier, and working as a parenting coach. She is naturally more of a great “indoorswoman” but has learned to appreciate the enormous benefits of spending time outside.
The Putnam family also includes 5 children ages 2-13, and they have recently moved to rural Eagle Creek from SE Portland.
